FAQs
Here are key questions from the interview with Dan Chapman, answered directly with his responses:
Who are you, and what defines you?
I’m Indian Spice, bare-knuckle champion of the world. I love my dog more than people, and I love pistachio ice cream. Oh, and I’m good at punching people in the face.
What’s your favourite fruit?
My favourite fruit is pineapple, funny, since I’m wearing a pineapple t-shirt today!
Who would win in a bare-knuckle fight: Conor McGregor on espresso or Tyson Fury after a Sunday roast?
I’d pick Conor McGregor after espresso. He’s wild, and I hope he comes back maybe to bare-knuckle. He’s my boss, and he likes my posts, so I can’t complain.
What was your most regrettable haircut?
It was before the Youth Commonwealth Games in India. At 17, I shaved it all off and looked like a 9-year-old criminal, but it made me feel strong and helped me win.
What song makes you shadow box?
Dizzee Rascal’s new track, “The King” or “The Champ,” gets me going. It makes me want to punch someone hard. But my walkout song is a Welsh rapper’s tune, everyone sang it at my Marbella fight with Conor McGregor.
How do you analyse opponents before a fight?
I’m a strict coach. I focus on fundamentals and routine first, then adapt. Boxing is a skill, not just toughness; only the 1% who don’t quit become champions.
How do you invest your money?
I can’t leave money in the bank, it loses value. My team, including Pineapple Dex, is teaching me to invest safely in crypto for a better future after boxing.
Where does your empathy and confidence come from?
It’s from my ‘90s upbringing with old-school manners, a tough childhood, and foster care. I learned to be authentic, not fit in, and that builds empathy and self-belief.
